Job Summary :

We are seeking an execution-focused Siemens Teamcenter PLM & Active Workspace Engineer (Engineer 2) to architect, customize, and maintain our enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem. In this role, you will take technical ownership of core Teamcenter development - building server-side business logic via ITK, developing enterprise integrations using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and engineering rich client-side customizations within the Siemens Active Workspace (AW) framework.

Key Responsibilities :

- Server-Side Customization (ITK & Java) : Design, code, and deploy robust server-side customizations, workflow handlers, user exits, and extensions using Teamcenter Integration Toolkit (ITK) and Java.

- Active Workspace (AWC) Engineering : Customize and enhance the Active Workspace UI utilizing Declarative UI, Stylesheets (XML/XRT), Custom Commands, Tiles, and client-side web technologies.

- Enterprise SOA Integrations : Architect, build, and maintain high-throughput integrations connecting Teamcenter to downstream enterprise systems (ERP, MES, CAD) using Teamcenter SOA APIs, Java, and REST/SOAP web services.

- BMIDE Data Modeling : Manage the foundational PLM data model via Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) - defining business objects, properties, Generic Relationship Management (GRM) rules, Lists of Values (LOVs), and naming rules.

- System Optimization & Maintenance : Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents, optimize Teamcenter database queries, and manage environment build deployments, hotfixes, patches, and release upgrades.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional engineering, design, and CAD/PLM architects to gather functional requirements, define user stories, and enforce PLM design best practices.

- Documentation & DevOps : Author comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDD), unit test cases, and deployment playbooks; adhere to standard version control and CI/CD promotion workflows.

Tech Stack & Qualifications :

- Total Experience : 4+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years of hands-on software development dedicated to Siemens Teamcenter PLM ecosystems.

- Core Teamcenter Frameworks : Advanced hands-on experience in Teamcenter ITK, Active Workspace (AWC) customization, and Teamcenter SOA.

- Data Modeling : Demonstrated mastery of BMIDE (creating business objects, GRM rules, LOVs, and schema extensions).

- Software Development Stack : Strong proficiency in Java full-stack engineering, C/C++, RESTful/SOAP APIs, XML, and modern web UI technologies (JavaScript/HTML/CSS).

- Domain Acumen : 3 - 5+ years of practical exposure to Engineering Design, PLM workflows, or Manufacturing domains.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP) hosting Teamcenter microservices or databases.

- Familiarity with Teamcenter CAD integrations (e.g., NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) or Change Management (ECR/ECO) lifecycles.

- Working knowledge of automated testing and deployment for Teamcenter artifacts.
