Role Overview :

This role requires deep expertise in Siemens Teamcenter installation, configuration, and administration. You will be responsible for maintaining Teamcenter infrastructure, deploying custom components, supporting end-users, and ensuring system stability across multi-tier environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in BMIDE, ITK, RAC, and Active Workspace with hands-on experience in database queries, scripting, and PLM process optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Teamcenter environments (2-Tier, 4-Tier, RAC, Active Workspace).

- Build and deploy Teamcenter custom components including BMIDE templates, ITK utilities, and RAC extensions.

- Administer Teamcenter modules such as My Teamcenter, Structure Manager, Access Manager, Workflow Designer, Organization, and Query Builder.

- Write and optimize Teamcenter database SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and data validation.

- Support Teamcenter upgrades, patching, and migrations including Active Workspace (AWC 3.2+) and index management.

- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to understand requirements and implement PLM solutions.

- Provide L2/L3 support for Teamcenter issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution.

- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and best practices for Teamcenter administration and user adoption.

Must-Have Skills :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Teamcenter installation, configuration, and administration across enterprise environments.

- Strong expertise in BMIDE (Business Modeler IDE) for creating and customizing data models, templates, and extensions.

- Experience building and deploying custom components : ITK utilities, RAC customizations, SOA services, and client-side extensions.

- Deep understanding of Teamcenter architecture : 2-Tier, 4-Tier, RAC, Active Workspace, and microservices-based deployments.

- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter infrastructure : Server pools, dispatcher, TcRA, deployment center, and multi-site environments.

- Proficiency in Teamcenter modules : My Teamcenter, Structure Manager, Access Manager, Workflow Designer, Organization, Query Builder, Classification, and PLMXML.

- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter database SQL queries for troubleshooting, data extraction, and validation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis on infrastructure and application issues.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to support both technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Skills :

- Teamcenter Active Workspace (AWC 3.2 and above) : Application upgrades, indexing, customization, and administration.

- Polarion ALM tool administration : Configuration, project templates, dashboards, and Polarion-Teamcenter integration.

- Scripting languages : Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting for automation and customization.

- C/C++ development using Visual Studio for ITK utility development and debugging.

- Experience with Siemens utilities : ips upload, csv2tcxml, ug_clone, make_user, and other migration tools.

- CAD/PLM integration exposure : NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or ECAD/MCAD data management within Teamcenter.

- PLM to PLM data migration using ETL methodologies for CAD and document data migrations.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) for Teamcenter deployments.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical/Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

- Siemens Teamcenter certification (Administration, BMIDE, or Active Workspace) is a strong plus.
