Job Description :

As a Cloud Team Lead at ShellKode, you will be responsible for managing cloud operations, leading a team of engineers, handling escalations, and ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of client environments on AWS. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, automation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Management & Delivery :

- Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers (L1/L2).

- Plan shifts, allocate tasks, and ensure effective workload distribution.

- Ensure SLA adherence and high-quality service delivery.

Cloud Operations & Infrastructure Management :

- Oversee AWS environments to ensure uptime, performance, and cost efficiency.

- Review and manage routine operations such as backups, patching, and system health checks.

- Implement and enforce operational best practices.

Incident & Escalation Management :

- Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents.

- Drive Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive measures.

- Improve MTTR and incident response processes.

Deployment & Configuration Oversight :

- Guide the team in deploying and managing AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, Load Balancers, CloudWatch etc.

- Oversee infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure implementation of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security).

- Maintain compliance with internal and client security standards.

Automation & CI/CD :

- Drive automation initiatives using Python/Bash.

- Improve CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, Code Pipeline, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Interact with clients for operational updates, escalations, and reviews.

- Conduct periodic service reviews and provide reports on performance and incidents.

Continuous Improvement :

- Identify opportunities for optimization in performance, cost, and reliability.

- Mentor team members and drive skill development.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).

- Experience in Managed Services / MSP / NOC environments.

- Good understanding of Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Good to Have :

- AWS Certifications (Associate/Professional).

- Experience with Kubernetes / EKS.

- Exposure to tools like Prometheus, Grafana.

- Knowledge of AIOps / automation-driven operations.
