Job Title : Application Architect

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Application Architect to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining application architecture, driving technical strategy, ensuring scalability and security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing technology solutions aligned with business objectives.

The candidate should possess strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, microservices, system integration, and modern application frameworks, along with experience in leading complex digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and design end-to-end application architecture for enterprise applications ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and security.

- Drive architecture decisions and establish technical standards, frameworks, and best practices across development teams.

- Design and implement microservices-based, cloud-native, and distributed application architectures.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, and enterprise architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Lead technical solutioning, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives.

- Develop scalable APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise solutions for seamless system interoperability.

- Ensure application architecture aligns with security, compliance, governance, and performance standards.

- Review system designs and code quality to ensure adherence to architecture principles and coding standards.

- Guide teams in application modernization, cloud migration, and legacy system transformation initiatives.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable technology stacks to improve business outcomes.

- Work closely with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and monitoring solutions.

- Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership across multiple projects and programs.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural guidance for performance optimization.

Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- Cloud-native architecture and containerization technologies

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

Integration Technologies :

- REST, SOAP APIs

- Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

- Messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ

Database & Storage :

- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

- Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra (preferred)

DevOps & Tools :

- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps

- Version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)

- Monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Dynatrace)

Security & Governance :

- Application Security Best Practices

- Authentication and Authorization (OAuth, JWT, SSO)

- Security compliance and risk mitigation

Required Candidate Profile :

- 10-13 years of experience in software engineering, application development, and architecture roles.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise application architectures.

- Strong understanding of microservices, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

- Experience leading technical teams and driving architecture governance.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in digital transformation and cloud migration projects.

- Exposure to AI/ML-driven enterprise solutions.

- TOGAF, Cloud, or Architecture certifications will be an added advantage.

- Experience in performance tuning, scalability optimization, and resilient system design.
