Talend Support Engineer - Scripting & Automation

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation and monitoring tasks.

- Integrate scheduling systems with ETL (e.g., Talend) and BI tools (e.g., Cognos) to ensure seamless data flow and reporting.

- Troubleshoot and optimize batch job performance, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support CI/CD pipelines and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning.

- Proactively monitor jobs and alerts, ensuring timely resolutions of failures or anomalies.

- Maintain documentation for job flows, scripts, error handling, and automation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Strong hands-on experience with job schedulers like Autosys, Oracle Scheduler, or Apache Airflow.

- Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.

- Exposure to ETL/BI tools like Talend, Cognos, or equivalent platforms.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices is a plus.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.

- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management tools.
