Job Description

T-SQL / SQL Developer


Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and optimize T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions to support business logic and reporting needs.


- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets.


- Perform performance tuning of queries, stored procedures, and indexes to ensure optimal database performance.


- Collaborate with application developers and data analysts to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.


- Design and implement ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent tools.


- Work on database normalization, indexing strategies, and data integrity enforcement.


- Assist in data migration, transformation, and cleansing activities.


- Monitor and maintain database performance, capacity, and availability.


- Create and maintain technical documentation including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and process flows.


- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and failed processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications :


- 6-8 years of experience in SQL Server development and T-SQL scripting.


- Deep expertise in writing efficient stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.


- Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.


- Experience in query performance tuning and troubleshooting.


- Proficiency with SQL Server tools such as SSMS, Profiler, Execution Plans, etc.


- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development.


- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.


- Hands-on experience with data security, backup, and recovery strategies.


- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


Preferred Qualifications :


- Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting tools is a plus.


- Knowledge of cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) is an advantage.


- Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control (e.g., Git).


- Exposure to big data platforms or NoSQL databases is a bonus.


Education :


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
