Sysvine Technologies - Senior Software Engineer - React.js/Ruby on Rails

About the Role :

We are looking for sharp, experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developers to lead software engineers and build scalable, high-performance applications. You will play a critical role in designing and developing a HealthTech Value-Based Care SaaS platform for US customers, working across backend, frontend, architecture, and engineering best practices. This role demands strong technical leadership, hands-on coding, deep system design expertise, and a passion for clean, test-driven development.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & System Design :

- Design and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures using Ruby on Rails.

- Define system-level design, data models, API contracts, and service interactions.

- Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and OOPS concepts effectively.

- Make architectural decisions aligned with performance, security, and scalability needs.

Backend Development (Ruby on Rails) :

- Design and develop robust backend systems using Ruby on Rails.

- Implement background jobs, queues, and async processing efficiently.

- Optimize database queries, indexes, and data access layers.

- Ensure high code quality through RSpec-based TDD/BDD.

Frontend Development :

- Develop and enhance user experiences using React or Vue.js.

- Strong understanding of DOM, JavaScript, frontend performance optimization, and component-driven development.

- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive, accessible interfaces.

- Write unit and integration tests using Jest.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship :

- Lead and mentor software engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.

- Enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment.

- Guide junior developers in architecture, debugging, and problem-solving.

- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and technical evaluations.

Quality, Testing & Debugging :

- Champion BDD/TDD practices across frontend and backend.

- Ensure high test coverage and maintain automated test pipelines.

- Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve complex production issues.

- Improve system reliability through proactive monitoring and refactoring.

Performance, Optimization & Security :

- Optimize application performance at code, database, and frontend levels.

- Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to memory, CPU, and response times.

- Ensure best practices around application security, data privacy, and compliance (especially for HealthTech).

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Work closely with product managers, designers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and delivery commitments.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Must-Have Skills :

- 6- 8 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.

- Strong expertise in Data Structures, OOPS, Design Patterns.

- Strong experience with React or Vue.js, DOM, and JavaScript.

- Solid experience in BDD/TDD : Backend : RSpec Frontend : Jest

- Strong database expertise and background job processing.

- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have :

- Experience building SaaS platforms, preferably in HealthTech or US-based products.

- Exposure to performance tuning, scalability, and security best practices.

- Experience working with distributed teams or global clients.
