Job Description

Job Title : System Architect TVM and AG in Transportation Domain

Experience : 7+ yrs

Location : Remote

Job type : 6 months contract + extendable

Key Responsibilities :

1. Hardware System Architecture & Design :


- Define and own the complete hardware architecture for AG and TVM, based on system-level design inputs.

- Lead the design and specification of internal and external hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and physical data units (PDUs).

- Ensure hardware-level integration of key components such as NFC readers, EMV terminals, RS485/CAN Bus peripherals, sensors, flap-door actuators, and coin/bill handling units.

- Translate customer and system requirements into a cohesive and reliable hardware architecture, with considerations for passenger interaction, maintainability, and diagnostics.

- Ensure electromechanical compatibility and standards compliance across all hardware subsystems.

2. Hardware & Interface Integration :

- Design and oversee the integration of AG/TVM hardware interfaces with:

- Internal NEC Systems:

- AFC Back-End System

- AFC Station Server

- Other Front-End Devices (excluding AG/TVM)

- EMV Payment Application for TVM

- External Stakeholder Systems:

- EMV Payment Gateway (for AG validation)

- Central Clearing House

- QR Code Payment Gateway

- Define and validate connectivity and interoperability across device interfaces using industry-standard protocols and custom integrations as required.

Platforms :

- Embedded Linux, RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS)

Interfaces :

- RS232, RS485, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet

Protocols :

- TCP/IP, Serial, HTTP(S), Secure APIs, ISO 14443, ISO 7816, EMVCo Design Tools

- UML, SysML, Architecture modeling tools

Testing Tools :

- Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, test automation frameworks

Standards :


- EMV, ISO 14443/18092, PCI DSS, RAMS, EN50126/50128 (preferred)
