System Administrator - Linux Server

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues such as metadata locks, slow queries, and replication lag.

- Optimize MySQL performance through query tuning and system adjustments.

- Manage Linux servers including user management, process monitoring, cron jobs, package updates, and resource utilization checks.

- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes using tools like mysqldump and Percona XtraBackup.

- Perform regular patching, upgrades, and security hardening across MySQL and Linux environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 support tickets while escalating complex issues to Level 3 with detailed RCA documentation.

- Participate in disaster recovery drills, capacity planning, and periodic system audits.

- Develop, maintain, and update runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and efficiency.

Core Skills & Requirements :

- Hands-on experience in Linux server administration and troubleshooting.

- Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions for databases and servers.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis for proactive issue detection.

- Experience in system security, patch management, and compliance practices.

- Good understanding of disaster recovery (DR) planning and execution.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
