Key Responsibilities :
- Perform system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of all server environments.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Apache and Nginx web servers.
- Support application deployments and basic scripting tasks using PHP and Python (basic level).
- Monitor and optimize web server performance for uptime and scalability.
- Create and maintain Shell/Bash scripts for system automation, monitoring, and routine tasks.
- Develop automated solutions to reduce manual operational workload.
- Handle installation, configuration, and maintenance of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database backups, performance tuning, user management, and troubleshooting.
- Implement system hardening measures, security best practices, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage firewalls, access controls, user permissions, and audit logs.
- Assist in security compliance and monitoring for potential threats.
- Set up system monitoring tools to track performance, resource utilization, and system health.
- Diagnose and resolve server, network, and application-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare root-cause analysis reports when needed.
- Work with DNS, DHCP, routing, IP addressing, and firewalls.
- Support network troubleshooting and basic network configuration tasks.
- Work with at least one cloud platform : AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Manage cloud resources, virtual machines, storage, and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with internal development and support teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand issues, provide updates, and resolve concerns.
- Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Apache/Nginx servers.
- Scripting expertise in Shell/Bash; basic knowledge of PHP/Python.
- Solid experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
- Exposure to AWS/GCP/Azure cloud environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Good to Have :
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
