Primary Responsibilities :

- Provide L3-level support and implementation expertise in Network Security, focusing on Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and other Cisco Security technologies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex L2/L3 network security issues and drive high-severity incident resolution.

- Execute complex change activities including upgrades, migrations, integrations, and policy modifications.

- Conduct proactive maintenance windows, DR (Disaster Recovery) testing, and implement corrective actions to ensure high business uptime.

- Assist in the creation and enhancement of Bluecoat and Checkpoint security architectures and designs.

- Provide engineering support for business projects involving Bluecoat, Checkpoint, and other security solutions.

- Implement and support TippingPoint IDS/IPS technologies.

- Map the network landscape, identify security vulnerabilities or misconfigurations, and propose remediation strategies.

- Support cross-functional teams requiring deep understanding of IDS/IPS, routing, firewalls, and overall network architecture.

- Perform log analysis, policy creation, configuration updates, and testing activities to maintain a secure environment.

- Lead cost-effective short- and long-term initiatives to enhance visibility of network threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.

- Demonstrate deep expertise in technical and security process design and best practices.

Preferred Knowledge & Skill Set :

- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security engineering.

- Strong product experience with :

1. Checkpoint Firewall

2. Cisco ASA

3. Juniper

4. Fortinet (Additional advantage: Bluecoat, TippingPoint, Palo Alto)

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies, routing, and multivendor security ecosystems.
