Description :

As a Sr. Data Engineer - Synapse, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to build robust data pipelines, optimize data storage and processing, and ensure data quality and security. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver actionable insights and drive business value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and other relevant technologies to ingest, process, and transform large datasets.

- Develop and maintain data models and schemas within Azure Synapse Analytics to support various analytical and reporting requirements.

- Optimize query performance and data storage strategies within Synapse to ensure efficient data access and processing.

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary data infrastructure and tools.

- Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations by implementing appropriate access controls and data encryption techniques.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

- Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.

- Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and other ETL tools.

- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience in optimizing query performance.

- Experience with data governance and data quality principles.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- 6-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
