Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale MongoDB environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with MongoDB Atlas, cloud platforms, and database performance tuning. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of mission-critical database systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer, manage, and support MongoDB databases across production and non-production environments.
- Design, deploy, and maintain MongoDB Atlas clusters with high availability and disaster recovery setups.
- Perform database migrations and transformations from on-prem to cloud and across cloud platforms.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and health using tools like Percona, Grafana, and MonYog.
- Identify and resolve complex production database issues with minimal downtime.
- Perform backup, restore, replication, sharding, and capacity planning for MongoDB environments.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for seamless database operations.
- Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Unix shell scripting.
- Provide support during planned maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong hands-on experience in MongoDB Administration.
- Proven experience working with MongoDB Atlas.
- Hands-on exposure to Cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Experience in cloud migrations and database transformations.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Percona, Grafana, and MonYog.
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for mission-critical production issues.
- Experience in writing and modifying Unix shell scripts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Experience with high-volume, large-scale database environments.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of database security and compliance standards.
