Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role located in Gandhinagar for a Subex Interconnect Billing System Maintenance Engineer / Analyst. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the Subex Interconnect Billing System, conducting regular preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal system efficiency. Daily tasks include addressing system malfunctions, performing repairs, collaborating with technical teams, and implementing maintenance improvements. Additionally, you will be expected to evaluate system performance, provide technical insights, and uphold industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Maintain and support Subex Interconnect Billing (IB) systems and related modules.

- Monitor daily billing operations, mediation feeds, CDR processing, and rating cycles.

- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies, revenue leakages, and system issues

- Perform regular reconciliation of interconnect traffic and billing data

- Support month-end and cycle-end billing activities

- Handle system configuration changes, parameter updates, and patch deployments

- Coordinate with network, mediation, finance, and carrier teams for issue resolution

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide permanent fixes

- Support testing activities for new releases, enhancements, and configuration changes

- Prepare operational reports, billing summaries, and documentation

- Ensure compliance with SLAs, audit requirements, and internal controls

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with Subex Interconnect Billing solutions

- Strong understanding of telecom interconnect billing concepts (CDRs, TAP/RAP, IOT, settlements)

- Knowledge of GSM / LTE / VoIP billing flows

- Experience in billing operations, assurance, or revenue management

- Strong SQL skills (Oracle / PostgreSQL preferred)

- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and batch processing

- Ability to analyze large datasets and troubleshoot complex issues

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with mediation systems and network elements

- Knowledge of revenue assurance and fraud management concepts

- Exposure to automation or scripting (Shell / Python)

- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in telecom

Qualifications :

- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance Engineering.

- Demonstrated expertise in Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance procedures.

- Experience in Electrical Maintenance and associated systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical issue resolution.

- Comprehensive understanding of telecom billing systems; knowledge of Subex software is a plus.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in system maintenance.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical information effectively.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
