Key Responsibilities :
- Understand business and functional requirements to design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications, ensuring functional, usability, and regression coverage.
- Use Postman to design, execute, and automate API test cases, validating endpoints, response structures, and integrations.
- Identify, log, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential usability issues.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support integration testing across different systems and environments.
- Contribute to test documentation including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, embedding quality practices in agile workflows.
- Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing, maintaining traceability to business requirements.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of experience in software testing with strong focus on manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, including creating collections, writing assertions, and working with environment variables.
- Good knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect management lifecycle.
- Experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation.
- Understanding of client-server architecture, RESTful APIs, and JSON/XML data formats.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional agile teams.
Preferred Skills :
- Exposure to test automation concepts or scripting knowledge.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into them.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing concepts
