We are seeking an experienced Manual Testing Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software testing processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in test management, requirement analysis, and defect tracking, along with a strong ability to lead and mentor a team of testers.

This role requires a proactive professional who ensures that applications meet business requirements, performance standards, and user expectations before release.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a team of manual testers throughout the project lifecycle.

- Analyze business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test strategies and test cases.

- Review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for accuracy and completeness.

- Coordinate with development, product management, and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery.

- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps).

- Execute different levels of testing : Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, and System testing.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and QA processes.

- Provide accurate testing estimates, timelines, and progress reports to stakeholders.

- Drive root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Mentor junior QA engineers, promote best testing practices, and facilitate knowledge sharing.

- Participate in project retrospectives and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 6- 8 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2- 3 years in a lead role.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

- Hands-on experience in creating and executing detailed test cases.

- Proficiency in test management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestLink, Zephyr).

- Good understanding of web and mobile application testing.

- Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology preferred.

Good to Have :

- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (Selenium, Postman, etc.)

- Experience with API testing and database validation using SQL.

- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
