Straive - Full Stack Engineer - Node.js/React.js

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Node.js and React.js to join our dynamic engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that are performant, scalable, and secure. You will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business and user needs.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the full technology stack, tackling complex problems, and building high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build responsive, dynamic, and interactive user interfaces using React.js.

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to connect frontend and backend.

- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of web applications.

- Participate in the design and architecture of scalable, modular, and maintainable applications.

- Identify and implement improvements to application architecture and codebase.

- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.

- Design and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL or NoSQL).

- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance across applications.

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Conduct code reviews, provide technical feedback, and maintain quality standards.

- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for frontend and backend components.

- Work with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployments.

- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for reliability.

- Stay up-to-date with latest trends in Node.js, React.js, frontend, and backend technologies.

- Explore and recommend new libraries, frameworks, and tools to improve productivity and performance.

- Contribute to building internal tooling, reusable components, and best practices.

Required Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, and backend API development.

- Proficiency in React.js, including hooks, state management (Redux/Context API), and component-based architecture.

- Experience with JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript.

- Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

- Familiarity with frontend build tools, package managers, and bundlers (Webpack, npm/yarn).

- Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party service integrations.

- Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
