Storage Specialist - EMC/Cisco

Job Title : Enterprise Solution Specialist II Storage.

Location : Noida (Hybrid).

Shift : US Shift (Night Shift).

Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Storage Engineer with hands-on experience across Pure Storage, Dell EMC Unity, Cisco MDS, and AWS storage services.

This role involves designing, managing, and optimizing hybrid storage infrastructures in a mission-critical environment.

You'll play a key role in ensuring storage performance, availability, and data protection across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

On-Premises Storage Management

Pure Storage :

- Troubleshoot NVMe-oF, VMware/ESXi, and Kubernetes CSI integrations.

- Implement security features like Safe Mode, Secure Erase, and encryption.

- Utilize Pure1 and cloud-based analytics for performance tuning.

Dell EMC Unity :

- Configure Snapshots, SyncIQ, and Metro Sync for disaster recovery.

- Monitor and troubleshoot block (iSCSI/FC) and file (NFS/SMB) storage with Unisphere and CloudIQ.

Cisco MDS Switches :

- Ensure SAN fabric optimization and security (FCSP, Port Security).

- Perform firmware upgrades and automate operations using Cisco DCNM.

Cloud Storage (AWS) :

- Optimize storage performance and cost using lifecycle policies.

- Implement hybrid integrations (AWS DataSync, Storage Gateway, Snow Family).

- Ensure compliance and data protection using AWS Backup, encryption, etc.

General Storage & Automation :

- Automate provisioning and monitoring using Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or Terraform.

- Collaborate with virtualization, cloud, and backup teams.

- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for storage outages and performance issues.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation (runbooks, capacity plans, architecture diagrams).

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience managing Pure Storage, Dell EMC Unity, Cisco MDS, and AWS storage environments.

- Deep understanding of FC, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, SAN/NAS protocols, and hybrid storage architectures.

- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell).

- Proven experience with replication, DR, data migrations, and performance tuning.

Preferred Certifications (one or more) :

- Pure Certified Data Storage Associate.

- Dell EMC Unity Specialist.

- AWS Certified Storage Specialist.

- Cisco CCNP Data Center (preferred).
