Role Overview :


The T2 Storage & Backup Infrastructure Support Engineer Lead is responsible for delivering advanced Tier 2 / L2 support across enterprise storage and backup environments. The role ensures reliability, security, and optimal performance of mission-critical infrastructure by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues. This position plays a key role in safeguarding data assets, enabling business continuity, and supporting high-availability operations within a fast-paced fintech GCC setup.

Requirements :

- 8 to 14 years of experience in storage and backup engineering/administration.

- Strong expertise in enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, Dell, Pure, cloud storage).

- Hands-on experience with backup technologies (Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam).

- Proficiency in storage protocols (Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3, iSCSI).

- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or equivalent).

- Skilled in automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python).

- Solid background in Windows and Linux/Unix system administration.

- Familiarity with ticketing systems (JIRA, ServiceNow, or equivalent).

Preferred Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to manage escalations and transitions across shifts.

- Adaptability to new technologies and evolving processes.

- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

- Flexibility to work in peak, off-peak, weekend, or holiday shifts.
