Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Storage & Backup technologies with hands-on experience in installation, implementation, configuration, monitoring, and management of enterprise-level storage environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform monitoring and management of large storage devices and tape libraries.

- Manage and support SAN and NAS storage environments.

- Utilize Monitoring, Reporting & Alert Mechanism tools to ensure smooth operations.

- Develop and execute storage & backup activity plans, including prerequisites, execution steps, and rollback plans.

- Provide basic OS support (Windows, Linux, HP-UX, AIX, Oracle Linux, Solaris, etc.) with knowledge of command line, shell scripting, and VB scripting.

- Log support calls via mail, phone, and portal, and perform necessary follow-ups with multiple OEMs until closure.

- Work with major storage platforms such as HPE, Dell EMC, IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, and SUN.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong technical knowledge of storage and backup terminologies.

- Hands-on experience in SAN and NAS environments.

- Familiarity with enterprise storage OEMs (HPE, Dell EMC, IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, SUN).

- Proficiency in monitoring and alerting tools.

- Knowledge of scripting (Shell, VB, etc.) and OS basics across multiple platforms.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage end-to-end support processes.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
