Role Summary :

The Sterling B2Bi Administrator is responsible for the health, stability, and evolution of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator platform within a complex, cloud-hybrid environment. This role demands a high level of expertise in server-level administration, high-availability architecture, and automated file-transfer orchestration. You will be the primary authority for platform upgrades, performance tuning, and disaster recovery, ensuring that mission-critical data exchanges between global trading partners remain uninterrupted. By leveraging AWS infrastructure and Linux automation, you will move the platform toward a more resilient and scalable "as-a-code" administrative model.

Responsibilities :

- Manage end-to-end Sterling B2Bi administration, including the configuration of Dashboards, User Permissions, and advanced system-level properties.

- Lead platform lifecycle management by performing Operating System (OS) level patching on Red Hat servers and executing complex Application patches for the B2Bi suite.

- Architect and implement automation frameworks for repetitive administrative tasks using UNIX Shell scripting, command-line utilities, and REST/JSON APIs.

- Design and execute comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, ensuring RTO and RPO objectives are met for critical business processes.

- Perform large-scale Sterling B2Bi migrations, including server-to-server data moves and version upgrades in both on-premise and AWS environments.

- Manage high-volume data exchanges across disparate systems, including OpenText, Axway MFT, Oracle, and SQL Server.

- Drive the resolution of complex platform bugs and performance bottlenecks by collaborating directly with IBM vendor support and internal engineering teams.

- Integrate Sterling B2Bi workflows with AWS Cloud services, specifically managing data persistence in S3, compute in EC2/Lambda, and database operations in RDS Oracle.

- Maintain rigorous code versioning for Business Processes (BPML) and Maps using Git/GitHub.

- Monitor system health and troubleshoot failures across multiple file formats, including EDI Delimited, XML, JSON, and Flat Files.

- Participate in on-call support rotations and coordinate with onshore counterparts via sync-up calls to ensure 24x7 operational continuity.

- Utilize ServiceNow and JIRA for incident management, change requests, and tracking project-related tasks.

Technical Requirements :

- Minimum of 4-8 years of dedicated experience as a Sterling B2Bi Administrator.

- Detailed expertise in the Sterling B2Bi product suite, specifically in Business Process (BPML) development, Mapping, and Dashboard configuration.

- Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Red Hat), including system administration, kernel tuning, and advanced Shell scripting.

- Deep knowledge of MFT (Managed File Transfer) ecosystems, including experience with Axway or OpenText platforms.

- Proven experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) within a B2B integration context.

- Proficient in using Git (GitHub) for version control and solution deployment.

- Technical mastery of data formats : EDI (X12/EDIFACT), XML, JSON, and complex Flat Files.

- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills, particularly within distributed server environments.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, or Ansible for platform configuration management.

- Understanding of Sterling B2Bi Perimeter Server configurations and DMZ security protocols.

- Familiarity with RESTful API integration for externalizing B2Bi services.

- Experience in performance tuning the IBM Sterling B2Bi Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and database connection pools.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

- Excellent professional communication skills for interfacing with vendors, customers, and executive stakeholders
