Role Overview :

As a Node.js Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend services that power our clients' critical applications. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end developers, and other engineers, to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability, efficiency, and overall success of the digital products we deliver, ensuring an exceptional experience for end-users and achieving key business outcomes for our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop highly scalable and resilient backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS to support complex client applications and ensure optimal performance.

- Implement robust API endpoints and integrate with various data sources, leveraging MongoDB and PostgreSQL for efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Collaborate on architectural decisions and contribute to the System Design of new features and platforms, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and security for long-term project success.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in TypeScript and Javascript, adhering to best practices and coding standards to facilitate team collaboration and future development.

- Develop and maintain real-time data processing pipelines using technologies like Kafka to handle high-throughput event streams and ensure data consistency across systems.

- Optimize application performance and manage session data effectively using Redis for caching and message brokering, enhancing user experience and system responsiveness.

- Conduct comprehensive unit and integration testing, including familiarity with frameworks like JUnit, to ensure code quality, reliability, and adherence to functional requirements.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and continuously improving the team's development processes and technical standards.

Required Skillset :

- Proven expertise in developing and deploying robust backend applications with Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS, demonstrating a strong understanding of asynchronous programming and microservices architecture.

- Solid command of TypeScript and Javascript, with a track record of writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

- Extensive experience with database technologies, including both NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), capable of designing efficient schemas and optimizing queries.

- Practical experience with message brokers like Kafka and in-memory data stores such as Redis for building high-performance, event-driven systems.

- Demonstrated ability in System Design, capable of architecting scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant solutions for complex business problems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to debugging and performance optimization.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, adept at working effectively within a remote team environment and articulating technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development, specifically with Node.js.

- Adaptability and self-motivation to thrive in a remote work setup, managing priorities and delivering high-quality results independently.
