Staff UI Developer - React.js/TypeScript

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff UI Developer to lead frontend architecture, technical strategy, and delivery of large-scale web applications.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on building complex, high-performance user interfaces while driving engineering excellence across the organization.

You will own frontend systems design, performance optimization, developer experience, release quality, and long-term architecture decisions.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React, TypeScript, state management systems, and modern UI architecture.

This role requires close collaboration with Product, Design, and Backend teams while mentoring engineers and setting a high technical bar.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Architecture & Technical Leadership

- Own module boundaries, component architecture, extensibility, and frontend design patterns.

- Define data flow, state management, rendering strategies, and application scalability.

- Drive frontend roadmap through RFCs, architecture reviews, and strategic technical decisions.

- Balance speed-to-market with maintainability, scalability, and engineering quality.

Complex UI Engineering :

Build and scale advanced UI systems such as :

- Rich text editors

- Multi-pane dashboards

- Node-based interfaces

- Timeline systems

- Canvas-driven applications

- Deliver responsive, accessible, and intuitive user experiences.

Performance Optimization :

Own frontend performance across :

- Large documents

- Long-running browser sessions

- Memory management

- Rendering bottlenecks

- Load times and responsiveness

Optimize production applications under real-world usage conditions.

Engineering Excellence :

Establish high standards for :

- Testing strategy

- CI/CD quality gates

- Code reviews

- Release reliability

- Observability

- Zero-regression engineering culture

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams on :

- API contracts

- Technical trade-offs

- Distributed systems integrations

Mentorship & Org Impact :

Required Skills & Experience :

Core Experience :

- 7 to 11 years of professional experience building large-scale web applications.

- 2 to 4 years in Lead / Staff / Principal frontend engineering capacity.

- Proven ownership of frontend technical architecture and engineering strategy.

Frontend Technologies :

Strong expertise in :

- React

- TypeScript

State Management Expertise :

Hands-on experience with modern state systems such as :

- Redux
