About Role :

Staff Engineer responsible to lead quality engineering for the Admin Platform, which provides unified administration capabilities. This platform is foundational to customer onboarding, configuration, entitlements, security, and operational control across products.

Must-Haves :

- Hands-on engineering profiles with a strong balance of 60% Coding and 40% System Design/Architecture.

- Strong expertise in Distributed Systems, SOLID Principles, scalability, deployment, and production-grade system design is expected across all roles.

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with strong hands-on coding (Java/Spring Boot).

Requirements :

- 10+ years in the technology industry, software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java.

- Spring or equivalent backend technologies focusing on platforms, APIs.

- 3+ years in technical leadership, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, etc.).

- Experience designing and implementing Micro-service architecture.

- Deep experience designing scalable, distributed systems with high availability and performance.

- Experience articulating NFRs and architecting the solution to meet them in conjunction with business/product and engineering teams.

Technical Skills :

- Java, Spring and Cloud development experience.

- Deep knowledge of API design principles (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).

- Familiarity with UI design systems and UI frameworks ex: React Js or Nest Js.

- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, or API lifecycle management (e.g., Postman, Apigee).

- Proficient in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Python, etc.).

- Familiar with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Communication :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external communications.

- Ability to promote developer tools and act as a bridge between Candescent and developer communities.

- Experience with community-building, hackathons, and developer outreach programs is a plus.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (required).

- Masters degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (optional).
