Position : Staff Quality Automation Engineer (API)

Location : Bengaluru, India

Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Staff Quality Automation Engineer with deep expertise in API testing and automation. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for large-scale, cloud-based systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, improve frameworks, and ensure high reliability and performance of distributed microservice applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead design and development of test automation frameworks for validating APIs and backend services.

- Partner with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to define automation strategies and ensure complete test coverage.

- Build and maintain reusable, scalable testing tools and infrastructure to support continuous delivery.

- Contribute to CI/CD integration and automation pipelines for API testing.

- Drive process improvements, enhance maintainability, and ensure adherence to best practices in automation.

- Mentor team members, review code, and advocate for engineering and testing excellence.

- Work independently across multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in software development engineering in test, specializing in API-based platforms.

- Proven expertise in C#/.NET for developing test automation within cloud-based, microservices architectures.

- Hands-on experience creating unit, integration, regression, and performance tests for APIs.

- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub Actions) and version control (Git).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience working in Agile environments.

- Exposure to global, distributed teams.
