About the Role

Mastech Digital is seeking an experienced and highly skilled SSIS Developer to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This is a remote position based in India. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server, data warehousing concepts, and Microsoft Azure. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data integration solutions, capable of performing at a senior level within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-performance SSIS packages for complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

- Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures for data manipulation, business logic, and reporting needs.

- Configure and manage SQL Server Agent Jobs for scheduling and automating ETL processes and other database tasks.

- Apply strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including facts, dimensions, and methodologies for Change Data Capture (CDC) and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1, 2, 3).

- Utilize Microsoft Azure services for data integration, storage, and processing, ensuring scalable and cloud-optimized solutions.

- Collaborate with data architects, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions.

- Perform thorough testing and debugging of SSIS packages and SQL scripts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance.

- Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous data flow.

- Optimize existing ETL processes and SQL queries for improved efficiency and performance.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for SSIS packages, data flows, and database objects.

- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 5-7 years of relevant experience in SSIS development and SQL Server.

- ETL Tools : Mandatory hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

- Database : Proficient in SQL Server, including advanced knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and query optimization.

- Scheduling : Strong experience with SQL Server Agent Job scheduling and monitoring.

- Data Warehousing : Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling (facts and dimensions), and experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).

- Cloud Platform : Mandatory experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly with data-related services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage).

- Problem Solving : Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to resolve complex data integration issues.

- Performance : Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SSIS packages and SQL queries.
