SQL Developer

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain database solutions that support business applications and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of data structures and optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.

- Design and implement efficient database schemas and structures.

- Perform data analysis, data cleansing, and data migration tasks as required.

- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.

- Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and data teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Support reporting and business intelligence activities with reliable data sets.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience as a SQL Developer.

- Proficiency in MS SQL Server (or relevant RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

- Strong knowledge of T-SQL and database programming concepts.

- Experience with data modeling and normalization techniques.

- Hands-on experience with query optimization and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to ETL tools or data integration frameworks.

- Basic understanding of Python or other scripting languages.

- Experience with cloud databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
