Job Overview :

Insight Global is seeking an experienced SQL Server Disaster Recovery and Troubleshooting Administrator to support one of its logistics clients in India. This role is critical to ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of SQL Server environments that support business-critical operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies, and incident troubleshooting, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 production issues.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and support MS SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments

- Diagnose, triage, and resolve database issues across multiple tiers (application, database, and infrastructure)

- Handle P1 and P2 incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact

- Manage backup, restore, and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and recoverability

- Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for SQL Server

- Monitor database performance, replication, and availability

- Design and implement automation (jobs, scripts, alerts) to reduce manual administrative tasks

- Participate in disaster recovery drills and ensure readiness for failover scenarios

- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve cross-functional issues

- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and recovery processes

- Provide support during maintenance windows, upgrades, and patching activities

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server Administration

- Strong experience diagnosing and resolving issues across multiple system tiers

- Proven expertise in backup, restore, and recovery models

- Solid understanding of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) options
