Location : Gurugram

Work Mode : Hybrid (3 Days Work From Office)

Shift Timings : 6 : 30 PM 3 : 30 AM IST (US Overlap Shift)

Key Responsibilities :

Database Administration & Maintenance :

- Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MS SQL Server instances across various environments (Dev, QA, Production).

- Execute complex database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.

- Manage backup and restore strategies, ensuring strict adherence to RPO and RTO requirements.

- High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)

- Expert-level management and configuration of SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

- Design and maintain robust HA/DR solutions, including Failover Cluster Instances (FCI) and Log Shipping.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

- Conduct proactive performance tuning, including index optimization, query plan analysis, and T-SQL code reviews.

- Monitor system health using native SQL tools and third-party monitoring utilities to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Cloud & Integration Services :

- Manage SQL databases within the Azure Cloud ecosystem (Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, or SQL on Azure VMs).

- Develop and maintain SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for ETL processes and data movement.

- Advanced T-SQL development for stored procedures, triggers, and complex functions.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement and enforce database security policies, including encryption, auditing, and access control.

- Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational security standards.

Technical Competencies :

Requirements :

Core SQL :

- 10+ years of MS SQL Server Administration (2016 through 2022).

High Availability :

- Hands-on expertise with AlwaysOn and Multi-site Clusters.

Cloud :

- Proven experience with Azure Cloud SQL services.

Data Integration :

- Proficiency in SSIS and advanced T-SQL scripting.

Optimization :

- Deep knowledge of Execution Plans, DMV's, and Profiler.
