We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expert to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GCP tools, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized GCP cloud architectures.

- Evaluate and recommend GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI) for business use cases.

- Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.

Cloud Operations :

- Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and third-party tools.

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup strategies.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, VPC Service Controls, and encryption standards.

- Ensure compliance with regulations (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) by leveraging GCPs security features.

- Conduct security reviews and remediate vulnerabilities.

Collaboration :

- Work with developers, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to build and scale applications on GCP.

- Partner with finance teams for cloud cost optimization and budgeting.

- Mentor junior engineers on GCP best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms, with at least 3+ years focused on Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong knowledge of Compute (GCE, GKE), Storage, Networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancers), and Security (IAM, KMS, Shielded VMs).

- Proficiency with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and modern data/AI services.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE) and serverless technologies.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

- Google Professional Cloud Architect
