Sports GameX - Software Test Engineer - Appium

Sports GameX is hiring a QA Engineer - Mobile App Automation (Appium) (Remote, EST timezone).

We want someone who's solid with 2 - 5+ Years with Appium, 2 Years automation, and 2 Years performance testing, 2 Years with Load Balancing.

Responsibilities :

- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.

- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Experience with Mobile Platforms : Proven experience testing on iOS and Android platforms, including knowledge of mobile-specific functionalities, behaviors, and user interface guidelines for each platform.

- Proficiency in Testing Tools : Hands-on experience with automated mobile testing tools such as Appium, TestComplete, BrowserStack,JMeter, BlazedMeter, or Firebase Test Lab, and experience with simulators and real device testing

- Understanding of Mobile App Performance Testing : Ability to assess mobile app performance by testing for responsiveness, load times, resource usage, memory leaks, and battery consumption.

- Expertise in Functional and Usability Testing : Skilled in functional testing to ensure all app features work as expected, as well as usability testing to evaluate the app's user experience across different devices and screen sizes.

- Mobile Network Testing : Familiarity with testing app behavior on various network conditions (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, offline mode) and understanding network latency issues.

- Knowledge of Mobile Security Testing : Awareness of mobile security issues, such as data storage security, secure authentication, and encryption standards, to ensure data protection and user privacy.

- Strong Mathematical Aptitude : Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis, problem-solving, and data interpretation, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts.

- Attention to Numerical Detail : Precision in calculations, attention to numeric details, and the ability to spot anomalies or inconsistencies in data sets.

- Provide appropriate outputs from logs and testing results for further analysis.

- Exploratory Testing Mindset : Curiosity and critical thinking skills to perform exploratory testing, identifying edge cases and potential user issues that may not be covered by scripted tests.

- Attention to Detail and Documentation Skills : Excellent documentation skills for writing clear, comprehensive, and reproducible bug reports, test cases, and test plans.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science

- Must haves : Automation Testing; Load Testing of the App and Database; Performance Testing, hands on exp with mobile app testing tools like Appium.

Preferred :

- Mobile security testing
