About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Splunk Expert to join our IT applications team. The role involves designing and implementing scalable Splunk-based monitoring and analytics solutions for infrastructure and business domains, with a focus on Logistics and Manufacturing use cases.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SPL development, dashboard creation, data integration, and performance optimization, along with the ability to translate complex monitoring requirements into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure and business processes using Splunk.

- Onboard and manage data sources while ensuring data quality, normalization, and completeness.

- Develop and maintain dashboards for Logistics and Manufacturing use cases.

- Create, optimize, and manage SPL queries, reports, and alerts.

- Monitor and maintain Splunk system health, performance, and scalability.

- Perform upgrades, patching, and maintenance of Splunk components.

- Develop and manage data models for efficient search and reporting.

- Integrate external data sources and ensure proper field extraction.

- Manage user roles, access permissions, and onboarding processes.

- Provide user training, documentation, and technical support.

- Collaborate with business teams to define, develop, and implement use cases.

- Support compliance, audit, and data retention requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- 3- 6 years of professional experience as a Splunk Expert / Developer.

- Strong proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language), data integration, and data modeling.

- Hands-on experience in infrastructure monitoring (servers, middleware, applications).

- Expertise in business activity monitoring and dashboard creation.

- Strong conceptual design and problem-solving skills.

- Solid understanding of Logistics and Manufacturing monitoring requirements (preferred).

- Experience in performance optimization and system health management.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in KPI and metric development for enterprise use cases.

- Familiarity with automation scripts (Python, Shell) for Splunk management.

- Exposure to CI/CD integration for Splunk environments.

- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management practices.
