Position : Cloud Modernization Architect Consultant (.NET Specialist)

Location : Hyderabad, India

Engagement : Part-Time, Contract

Expected Workload : 2 hrs per day

Overview :

We are a technology-focused organization working on innovative solutions in the enterprise software space. We are currently undertaking a validation and assessment initiative that requires expert architectural guidance from seasoned professionals.

Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Modernization Architect specializing in .NET technologies to join us as a part-time consultant.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed architectural assessments and modernization planning for 5- 10 legacy .NET applications.

Your expert analysis and recommendations will be critical to our validation efforts and will help us establish baseline standards for architectural excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end architectural analysis and modernization planning for assigned legacy .NET applications by assessing the current-state architecture, identifying technical gaps, anti-patterns, and risks

- Designing optimized target-state cloud architectures on AWS/Azure with detailed rationale and diagrams

- Developing financial and business cases including TCO, ROI, NPV, and value realization; and creating phased implementation roadmaps with migration strategies, WBS, effort estimates, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum 12+ years in software development and architecture with strong .NET focus

- Proven track record as a Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect

- Extensive experience with large-scale application modernization and cloud migration projects

Technical Expertise :

- Deep knowledge of .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C#

- Hands-on experience modernizing legacy .NET applications (monolithic ASP.NET, WCF, Windows Services, etc.) to modern architectures

- Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms, including :

1. Compute services (App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, Lambda)

2. Data services (SQL, Cosmos DB, RDS, DynamoDB)

3. Integration and messaging services

- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes containerization

- Experience with database design, migration, and optimization (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Strong technical writing and documentation skills

- Ability to create clear, professional architecture diagrams and technical specifications

- Clear communication and presentation skills

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
