Sony - AWS Delivery Engineer - Linux System Administration

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and support Linux-based systems (preferably RHEL, CentOS, or Debian).

- Build CI/CD pipelines and work with Agile SCRUM development methodologies to support rapid, iterative delivery.

- Create robust Python and Shell scripts to automate operational processes and deployments.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and deliver cloud-native

solutions.

- Document system architectures, automation scripts, and operational procedures in detail.

- Participate in on-call support rotations for critical production environments when required.

Required Skills :

- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.

- Experience in building and maintaining infrastructure in high-volume or critical production service environments.

- Solid understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.) and cloud computing best practices.

- Familiarity with CloudFormation, CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies.

- Strong fundamentals in networking, system security, and distributed systems.

- Good understanding of software release management, version control, and monitoring tools.

Good to Have :

- Working knowledge of AWS Data Pipeline architecture.

- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef.

- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and relevant tools.

- Experience working as part of a globally distributed engineering team.
