SONiC Automation Test Engineer - Python

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled SONiC Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in networking, test automation, and validation frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases for SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) and ensuring high-quality deliverables in large-scale networking environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform functional, regression, and system-level testing of SONiC across different hardware platforms.

- Develop test scripts using Python or other automation tools.

- Validate L2/L3 protocols, routing, switching, and network device features.

- Work with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for test execution.

- Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with development teams for issue resolution.

- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and documentation.

- Stay updated with the latest SONiC features and open-source networking developments.

Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of SONiC OS and its ecosystem.

- Proficiency in Python for test automation.

- Experience with L2/L3 networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, EVPN, etc.).

- Hands-on with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.

- Experience in working with network test tools (e.g., IXIA, Spirent, Scapy).

- Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Gerrit.

- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
