Sonata Software - L2 Linux Administrator

Description :

Role : Linux L2.

Key Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot boot issues, filesystem errors, performance bottlenecks.

- User & access management (LDAP/AD integration, sudo, PAM).

- Manage services : systemd, cron, rsyslog, sshd.

- Patch management & package updates (yum/dnf/apt/zypper).

- Monitor system health (CPU, memory, disk, I/O).

- Basic security hardening and compliance fixes.

- Support VM environments (VMware / KVM).

- Backup/restore support and log analysis.

- Coordinate with L3 teams & vendors when required.

- Maintain operational documentation and SOPs.

Technical Skills :

- Filesystems : ext4, xfs, LVM.

- Networking basics : TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SSH.

- Shell scripting (basicintermediate).

- Monitoring tools : top, vmstat, iostat, sar.

- Ticketing tools : ServiceNow / Remedy / JIRA.
