Position Summary :

The role of a Solution Consultant in Private cloud presales involves deep expertise and contributions to industry knowledge.

Solution consultant to act as subject matter expert to extend beyond technical expertise and contribute to industry standards and help organizations navigate complex challenges.

This role demands following :

- Understand customer business challenges & drivers for change.

- Create a technology enabled solution addressing business challenges.

- Keep abreast of modern technologies to create digital transformation.

- Understand various industry segments & corresponding technology use cases.

- Design comprehensive solutions with an understanding of business case.

- Work across various OEMs and maintain good relationships.

Person Specification :

Essential Qualifications :

- Graduate in Engineering, Experience : 4 to 8 years, MBA preferred.

- OEM certifications such as HP/DELL/VMWare/Microsoft/Nutanix/Cisco.

- Pre-sales exposure is highly desirable.

Requisite Skills :

Technical :

- Experience proposing planning and solution for Green/Brown field Data Center (DC) Transformation and Migration with technology comprising Container, Converge/Hyper converge, Compute, Storage, backup & Virtualization.

- Designing & sizing on-prem server, storage, HCI backup solution based on customer use case, problem statement, applications that will be used.

- Exposure on OEM sizing tools such as HPE OCA, Simplivity sizer, Dell EMC configurator, NetApp Fusion tool, Pure Storage sizer, Nutanix Sizer, Cisco CCW, etc.

- Should have strong understanding about protocols like SMB, NFS, iSCI, FC, NVMeoF.

- Experience in designing sizing complex on-prem server and storage solution around HPE, Lenovo / IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, Cisco HyperFlex, Pure Storage, Rubrik.

- Hands-on experience with various OS (Microsoft Windows, Redhat), virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, HCI platform and Container).

- Good knowledge on backup and archival solution such as Rubrik, Veritas, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, etc.

- Good knowledge on hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix, Azure HCI Stack, VMware).

- Working knowledge of Active Directory.

- Working knowledge of Oracle DB, MySQL, MS SQL.

- Familiar with OEM subscription licensing e.

- Microsoft licensing, VMware licensing, Oracle licensing, RHEL, SAP HANA etc.

- Experience proposing planning and solution for Green/Brown field Data Center (DC).

Functional :

- Provide solutioning support to sales teams for specific deals.

- Create solution design documents, respond to RFI/RFQ/RFPs.

- Create and deliver value to customers through capability and solution defense presentations, own product demos, customer workshops and proof of concept deployments.

- Create point of view documents for customers & internal CFTs for industry knowledge.

- Work closely with teams like Enterprise Architects, Product, Engineering & various cross functional teams to create winning proposals.

- Lead important projects that require guidance to project team to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.

- Achieve sales target for the region.

- Able to independently resolve complex projects, issues, challenges encountered.

- Become voice of the customer, participate and drive CFTs for new product incubation, features enhancement and delivery.

- Create efforts estimation, RACI, service designs.

- Operationally responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area and may also impact a wider operational area.

- Self-driven with problem solving attitude, capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision.

- Should have the relevant Industry certifications across various different cloud technology domains.

- Must have strong relation with major OEMs like HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas, Commvault should work closely with them.
