Solution Architect - Python/AngularJS

Role : Solutions Architect, EdTech Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Solutions Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of our EdTech projects.

This role is for a hands-on technical expert who excels at translating business needs into robust, scalable solutions.

You will be instrumental in the entire project lifecycle, from initial client engagement and architectural design to project oversight and successful delivery.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of educational technology by working on innovative projects for B2B enterprise clients and defining advanced features for our platform to support B2B2C initiatives.

Responsibilities :

- Serve as the primary technical leader for both B2B and B2B2C EdTech projects, providing hands-on expertise in designing and developing robust, scalable solutions.

- Collaborate with clients and internal product teams to deeply understand project requirements, constraints, and business objectives.

- Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.

- This includes creating comprehensive documentation and diagrams that the engineering team can use to execute effectively.

- Actively drive technical initiatives to build the advanced platform features necessary to support B2B2C partnerships, where our platform serves the end-users of our business clients.

- This will involve designing features like custom branding, Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, and advanced reporting for enterprise partners.

Project Oversight & Delivery :

- You will be responsible for monitoring key project milestones and identifying potential risks.

- Help the team overcome technical blockers and challenges by providing guidance and strategic direction.

- You will act as a technical problem-solver, helping to unstick the team when they face complex issues.

- Ensure the technical solution aligns with the client's expectations and project goals.

- You'll be the one to confirm that what the team is building meets the original vision and requirements.

- Work with project managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with product roadmaps and business goals.

Client & Stakeholder Communication :

- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams across different geographies, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals and technical decisions.

- Lead technical discussions and presentations with clients, translating complex technical information into understandable business terms.

- Gather feedback from clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure we are building the right solution.

Pre-Sales & Business Development :

- This includes estimating project scope, resources, and timelines.

- Develop and present compelling proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical demos to prospective clients.

- Define the architectural vision and strategy for new projects, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

- This includes making build vs. buy decisions and selecting appropriate technologies.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

- Proven experience in a B2B or B2B2C environment, preferably within the EdTech or SaaS industry.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience in solution design and system architecture.

- Experience building and evolving a platform to support the needs of enterprise clients and their end-users is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in defining and documenting software architecture, including microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Demonstrated knowledge of various cloud services and the ability to evaluate and select the best technologies for a given project (e.g., database choices, serverless computing, containerization).

- Experience with a variety of programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Node.js, React, Angular).

- Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset for building long-term, sustainable solutions.

- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, particularly in client-facing scenarios.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
