Role Overview :

Equiniti is seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale digital solutions across customer-facing and internal platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in system and solution architecture, modern SPA technologies, cloud-native design, and secure, high-performance applications. This role also requires strong technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, and hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end solution architecture for complex enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures using React, .NET, and SPA patterns.

- Lead architecture for headless CMS implementations (Umbraco), enabling content-driven, API-first digital experiences.

- Define and review cloud architecture on AWS, including application hosting, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.

- Establish and govern architecture standards, design principles, and best practices across teams.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, guiding solution design, code quality, and architectural decisions.

- Drive adoption and best practices for GitHub Copilot in VS Code, improving developer productivity and code consistency.

- Collaborate with product owners, engineering managers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver robust solutions.

- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards, including OWASP and enterprise security guidelines.

- Review and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and DevOps processes.

- Participate in architecture reviews, technical risk assessments, and production readiness evaluations.

Must-Have Skills :

- 12+ years of experience in system and solution architecture for large-scale applications.

- Strong hands-on knowledge of React, .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core), and Single Page Application (SPA) architectures.

- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, with AWS as the preferred platform.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment strategies.

- Strong focus on security and performance best practices, including secure coding and optimization techniques.

- Mastery in using GitHub Copilot within VS Code, with experience applying AI-assisted development in real-world projects.

Should-Have Skills :

- Experience with Headless CMS platforms, specifically Umbraco.

- Exposure to application security and code quality tools such as AppScan and SonarQube.

- Experience mentoring senior engineers and acting as a technical leader or architect across multiple teams.

- Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.

- Strong documentation skills for architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and technical standards.

- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic architectural oversight.
