Description :

We are looking for a highly experienced Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable, cloud-based data and analytics solutions for enterprise-grade products. The role demands strong expertise in Azure cloud, Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and data engineering architectures, along with proven pre-sales and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

You will work closely with business leaders, product teams, and customers to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Design :

- Design end-to-end data and analytics architectures for large-scale, product-based platforms

- Define solution blueprints leveraging Azure services, Databricks, and modern data engineering stacks

- Ensure architectures meet requirements for scalability, security, performance, and reliability

Data Engineering Leadership :

- Architect and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Databricks

- Guide teams on data ingestion, transformation, processing, and storage strategies

- Ensure best practices for data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization

Cloud & Platform Expertise :

- Lead architecture decisions on Microsoft Azure, including storage, compute, networking, and security

- Drive cloud-native and hybrid architecture strategies

- Support modernization and migration initiatives to Azure-based platforms

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement :

- Act as a technical advisor during pre-sales engagements, including solution presentations, proposals, and POCs

- Work closely with sales and business teams to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions

- Support RFP/RFI responses with technical inputs and architecture diagrams

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and leadership to align technical solutions with product vision

- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Mentor senior engineers and architects, providing technical guidance and reviews

Governance & Best Practices :

- Define architectural standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks

- Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and enterprise architecture guidelines

- Review and approve solution designs and technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience :

Core Technical Skills :

- 12+ years of overall experience in software/data engineering and solution architecture

- Strong experience as a Solutions Architect in a product-based environment

- Hands-on expertise in :

1. Microsoft Azure (Data & Analytics services)

2. Databricks

3. PySpark

4. SQL

- Modern data engineering architectures

Pre-Sales & Business Skills :

- Proven experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, and customer-facing roles

- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures

- Strong presentation, documentation, and communication skills

Additional Skills :

- Experience working with large-scale data platforms and distributed systems

- Knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouse, and real-time data processing concepts

- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices (good to have)

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in product-led or SaaS organizations

- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures

- Strong leadership and mentoring experience

- Azure certifications (Architect / Data Engineer) are a plus
