Role Overview:

SG IT is looking for an experienced API / .NET Solution Architect with strong Banking / Financial Services domain expertise and BIAN experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Own the end-to-end solution architecture for greenfield API integration platforms connecting banking systems, third-party vendors, SaaS platforms and consumer channels.

- Define API architecture, integration patterns, technical standards and architectural principles across the ecosystem.

- Design and govern RESTful APIs, Service APIs and System APIs, including API contracts, request/response models, endpoints and lifecycle management.

- Define API orchestration and integration flows between upstream and downstream systems.

- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to identify business domains, bounded contexts, domain services and appropriate API/service boundaries.

- Leverage BIAN Service Domains and Semantic APIs to design banking-aligned API and integration architectures.

- Translate banking business capabilities and domain requirements into practical API and microservices architectures.

- Create and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), architecture documents, component diagrams, sequence diagrams and system interaction diagrams.

- Analyse complex business and technical requirements and evaluate multiple solution options, architectural trade-offs, risks and dependencies.

- Design scalable, secure, resilient and maintainable integration solutions using APIs, microservices, messaging and event-driven architecture.

- Define API versioning, governance, security, lifecycle management and API catalogue standards.

- Ensure appropriate implementation of authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and API security patterns.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, enterprise architects and third-party vendors.

- Lead technical architecture discussions and challenge proposed solutions where required.

- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to development and engineering teams.

- Review solution designs and ensure implementation aligns with the target architecture and architectural standards.

- Ensure API and integration solutions align with cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, security, scalability, availability and operational requirements.

- Evaluate tactical solutions against long-term strategic architecture and recommend the appropriate approach.

Mandatory Skills:

- 10+ years of overall IT experience

- Strong Solution / API / Integration Architecture experience

- Strong Banking / Financial Services domain experience

- Hands-on BIAN experience - Service Domains / Semantic APIs

- Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

- Strong REST API architecture and design experience

- API Gateway / API Management experience

- Service APIs & System APIs

- API contract design, versioning and governance

- Integration and orchestration architecture

- Microservices architecture

- Strong HLD and architecture documentation experience

- .NET / C# architecture experience

- Azure or other major cloud platform exposure

- CI/CD and DevOps understanding

- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
