We are seeking a Product Manager with expertise in database domains to oversee product offerings from a business perspective.

This role involves aligning product strategy with business priorities, managing the product roadmap, and collaborating with key stakeholders such as architects, product owners, and engineering managers.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and own the product roadmap for assigned products.

- Ensure alignment of product strategy with business priorities.

- Engage with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to drive product development.

- Analyze business and financial trade-offs for new content consideration.

- Plan and execute product launch activities, including pricing and pipeline management.

- Collaborate with support, sales, and marketing teams to enhance product support and promotion.

- Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Slack for effective communication and project management.

Required Skills :

- Knowledge of multiple database platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and others.

- Understanding of the engineering process and collaboration with contributors such as architects and engineering managers.

- Good planning and clear decision-making abilities.

- Ability to travel 10% of the time.

- Understanding of business concepts around products, including launch activities and financial metrics.

- Creative mindset for product innovation and resource analysis.

- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Slack.

Desired Skills :

- Understanding of database performance conceptually.

- Ability to enable support, sales, marketing, and other organizations outside of product.

- Understanding of different personas that the product will resonate with (DBAs, developers, SREs, application owners, IT leadership, etc.

- Familiarity with other SolarWinds products is a plus.
