Solaris System Administration Specialist - IT Operations

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Solaris System Administration Specialist to manage and modernize enterprise Solaris environments. This role blends classical UNIX discipline with modern infrastructure monitoring and automation. Youll own server stability, patching, observability, and proactive incident prevention old-school reliability with new-school tooling.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and administer Solaris servers (physical & virtual).

- Implement automated patching solutions for Solaris VMs.

- Design and support infrastructure monitoring using Prometheus & Grafana.

- Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis.

- Automate administrative tasks using Bash/Perl/Python scripts.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and patch standards.

- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for compatibility.

- Maintain accurate system documentation and SOPs.

- Participate in infrastructure transformation and modernization projects.
