Role & responsibilities :

As a Java Engineer you will :

- Ensure on-time delivery of new API endpoints

- Maintain and evolve existing API functionalities

- Deliver quality code in an efficient manner

- Take end-to-end ownership of our fleet of microservices

- Contribute to our infrastructure and automation tools

- Collaborate with fellow engineers, agile coaches and product owners

- Mentor teammates with less experience than you

Preferred candidate profile :

- Java expertise: multiple years of professional experience building production-grade, scalable products.

- Deep experience with Spring to architect complex solutions.

- Experience of Test Driven Development in Java

- REST services: strong knowledge of building and operating RESTful APIs, including designing them.

- Security: solid understanding of security best practices for backend and cloud services (securing APIs, identity management, data encryption).

- Databases: strong proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, with the flexibility to adapt to specific squad requirements.

- Cloud-native development: extensive experience in the development and operation of cloud-native applications on a major platform (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure accepted).

- Infrastructure as Code: proven experience with Terraform or similar tools.

- Communicate well in written and verbal English
