Job Title : Software Validation Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced Software Validation Engineer with a strong background in manual testing and exposure to embedded systems, protection relays, or industrial software.

The role involves validating software functionality, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and working closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop a strong understanding of GE protection relays / Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and their functionality.

- Analyze requirements and user stories to design detailed test cases and test scripts.

- Execute functional, boundary, negative, regression, and UAT testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality releases.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing.

- Exposure to GUI automation and Python scripting.

- Basic knowledge of DLLs and programming languages such as C++ or C#.

- Understanding of communication interfaces : Serial, USB, Ethernet.

- Familiarity with protocols such as IEC 60870-5-103 (CS-103) and DNP3.

- Experience testing applications on Windows 10 and Windows 11, including non-English OS versions.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Knowledge of IEC 61850 standard and configuration tools (e.g., IED Scout).

- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.

- Experience with Excel macros.

- Fundamental knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering.

- Awareness of protection systems, substation automation, and SCADA systems.
