Software Engineer - Testing

Location : Bengaluru

Education : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or related disciplines.

About the Role :

We are looking for a Software Engineer - Testing with strong programming skills in Python or C++ and hands-on experience in software testing, validation, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in Linux environments and have a strong understanding of testing methodologies. Experience in the HDD/Storage domain, including storage systems, firmware, and server platforms, will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures.

- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python or C++.

- Troubleshoot software, firmware, and system-level issues in Linux environments.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

- Validate storage products, server platforms, and firmware components.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

- Document test results, issue reports, and validation findings.

Required Skills :

- 2-4 years of experience in Software Testing, Validation, or Quality Engineering.

- Strong programming skills in Python or C++.

- Good experience with Linux Shell Scripting (Bash) and Linux environments.

- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, debugging, and troubleshooting.

- Experience in test automation and test execution frameworks.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in the HDD/Storage domain.

- Exposure to storage technologies such as SAS, SATA, NVMe, RAID, or enterprise storage systems.

- Experience in firmware validation and testing.

- Knowledge of server platforms, storage appliances, and rack-level deployments.

- Familiarity with performance, reliability, and stress testing methodologies.
