Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise web, mobile, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test scenarios while collaborating closely with development, business, and product teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

- Execute manual test cases and document test execution results.

- Identify, log, track, and validate software defects using defect management tools.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve defects and improve software quality.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.

- Validate application performance, usability, compatibility, and security from a testing perspective.

- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test suites into deployment processes.

- Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release readiness reports.

- Ensure adherence to testing standards, quality processes, and best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

Manual Testing:

- Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke & Sanity, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Exploratory Testing, Defect Lifecycle Management (JIRA).

Automation Testing:

- Selenium WebDriver (Mandatory), TestNG/JUnit, Cypress/Playwright, Appium, API Automation, Data-Driven and Keyword-Driven Frameworks.

API Testing:

- Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST API Testing, JSON/XML Validation.

Defect & Test Management:

- JIRA, Azure DevOps Test Plans, SPIRA.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience testing enterprise web and mobile applications.

- Knowledge of cloud-based applications (Azure/AWS).

- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

AI & Modern Testing Skills:

- AI-assisted test case generation, AI-powered test automation tools (e.g., Copilot, Testim, Functionize, mabl), Prompt engineering for test design, Experience with LLM-based testing assistants.
