Job Overview :

Tyfone is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5-8 years of experience. As a global leader in the SaaS Digital Banking and Digital Payments sector, we need a professional who can design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the highest quality for our nFinia and payFinia solutions.

This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong automation skills, and the ability to lead a small team. You will be instrumental in driving continuous quality improvements and maintaining the final quality of our production releases.

Responsibilities :

- Test Automation & Execution : Design, develop, and execute automated tests for our nFinia and payFinia solutions. This includes preparing test plans, creating automation scripts, and reporting defects.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 testers, fostering their growth and ensuring project milestones are met.

- Quality Assurance Management : Be responsible for the final quality of production releases, ensuring all products meet the highest standards.

- Problem Solving & Client Management : Investigate customer issues reported by the technical support team, test for bugs, and manage bug reports. You'll also handle technical communications with clients and understand their system configurations.

- Cross-Platform Testing : Conduct automation testing across various platforms, including Mobile Web, Android, iOS, and Backend APIs (REST API).

- Continuous Improvement : Research new test tools and methodologies to upgrade existing practices. You'll also be responsible for driving continuous quality improvements across the team.

- CI/CD & Version Control : Work with version control systems like Git and use GitHub Actions for continuous integration.

- Technical Documentation : Maintain test documentation and create test environments and test data as needed.

Technical Skills :

- Demonstrated experience in automated testing, including test preparation, execution, defect reporting, and test documentation.

- Proficiency in Python, with knowledge of other programming languages like Java or C# being an added advantage.

- Experienced with test automation tools and frameworks, specifically the Python-Playwright-Appium-API tech stack.

- Experience in automating service and API layers (UI, services, APIs), debugging, and optimizing applications and automated test scripts.

- Strong familiarity with version control systems like Git and continuous integration with GitHub Actions.

- Proven experience in conducting automation testing across multiple platforms : Mobile Web, Android, iOS, Backend API (REST API), and other middleware components.

- Deep understanding of quality best practices, methodologies, and techniques for continuous quality improvements.

- Expertise in creating test environments and generating test data.

- Experience with Performance and Scalability Testing is an added advantage.

Soft Skills :

- Experience in managing a team of 3-4 testers, providing guidance and mentorship.

- Skilled in escalation and client management.

- Capable of investigating customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing detailed bug reports.

- Able to handle technical communications and understand customer systems.

- Proactively research test tools, methodologies, and trends to upgrade existing practices and processes.

- Possesses an analytical mindset and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

- Excellent communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements :

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience : 5-8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Banking, Finance, or SaaS domains. Experience in the B2B2C Fintech space in the US is preferred, but experience in Europe or Asia is also considered.

- Location : Candidates must be from either Bengaluru or Hyderabad.
