Job Description Software Tester (C++/Qt, Computer Vision Desktop Apps)

Key Responsibilities :

- Desktop Application Testing: Design and execute test plans for Qt-based desktop applications (widgets, QML).

- C++ Unit & Integration Testing: Develop automated test suites using Google Test (GTest) for C++ modules.

- Computer Vision Validation: Test and validate image/video processing algorithms (object detection, recognition, tracking).

- Performance & Regression Testing: Benchmark desktop vision pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and validate optimization fixes.

- Automation Frameworks: Build reusable test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Bug Tracking & Reporting: Document defects, collaborate with developers, and ensure timely resolution.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, ML engineers, and product teams to validate vision-based desktop features.

Requirements :

- Experience: 3 to 6+ years in software testing, with focus on C++ desktop applications.

- Languages: Strong proficiency in C++; scripting knowledge in Python preferred.

- Frameworks: Qt (widgets, QML), Google Test (GTest).

Computer Vision Skills :

- Hands-on with OpenCV or similar libraries

- Testing of image recognition, object detection, or video analytics modules

Tools & Practices :

- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

- Bug tracking (JIRA, Bugzilla)

- SDLC and Agile methodologies

- Environment: Exposure to Windows desktop environments.
