Software Tester - ETL/Datawarehouse Testing

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL jobs, and data migration activities across legacy and modern data platforms.

- Validate data ingestion, data transformation, and data integrity across Data Warehouse (DWH) and Data Lake environments.

- Develop and execute both manual and automated test cases to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.

- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data flow, mappings, and transformation logic.

- Write complex SQL queries to validate large datasets across multiple sources and targets.

- Use tools and frameworks for automation testing of ETL and data-related workflows.

- Ensure high-quality test coverage and documentation for all assigned projects.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect triaging.

- Provide regular reports on test execution, defect status, and QA metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience in Data Migration projects and Data Lake validation.

- Solid hands-on experience in ETL/DWH testing including data reconciliation, validation, and lineage tracking.

- Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue) and/or Snowflake.

- Proficient in SQL for data validation and test automation scripting.

- Experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing in data environments.

- Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages used for ETL validation is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have :

- Familiarity with data governance, data profiling, and data quality tools.

- ISTQB or similar QA certifications.
